HOW IT WORKS
- We’re going cashless using wristbands to optimize your experience with faster transactions and shorter lines. Your wristband is your digital wallet for the festival. Once you load funds, you can pick up your wristband at the festival and use it to purchase food, drinks and merch.
- We encourage all attendees to load your wristband in advance of the festival to prevent any delays on site. You can load funds to your wristband from your account (vegandalechicago.cashlessportal.com) anytime before or during the festival and cash out after the event. Cashless portal closes at 7:30 pm CT Sunday, June 23rd. Purchased tickets for others? Get them to load their wristband here. Each attendee MUST have their own wristband.
- You can cash out any remaining funds starting on Wednesday, June 26th at 9 AM CT. The cash-out window closes on Wednesday, July 10th at 11:59 PM CT. There is a $3 admin fee to cover the cashout process. Any unused funds in your account after this date will be forfeited.

What does ‘going cashless’ mean?
We’ve introduced a convenient new payment system to enhance your experience at the event. To streamline transactions and ensure a smoother process for everyone, we will no longer accept cash or card payments. Instead, attendees will use wristbands they pre-loaded with their funds and make payments by simply tapping them.
How do I get my wristband?
After your ticket is scanned at the front entrance, you will receive your wristband and proceed to a Load Up Booth (marked on the map) to link up your funds via your QR code (found on this portal) or add funds using a credit card.
The Load Up team will then provide you with your cashless wristband. After that, you’re all set. The wristband will act as your wallet, simply tap to pay for easy and fast transactions.
How do I load funds onto my wristband?
To load funds onto your wristband you can top up online at vegandalechicago.cashlessportal.com
To do this:
- Go to vegandalechicago.cashlessportal.com
- Register to create an account or sign in if you have already created one
- Go to “Top Up” and select the amount you would like to to add.
- Enter your debit or credit card details to confirm
- You will receive a QR Code via email. Take the QR code with you to the event and present it to the Cashless staff at the check in location. Please note that your wristband must be synced after every load & top-up. You can sync your wristbands at the Cashless Top Up Stations, which are conveniently located by the entrance and every bar.
If you loaded more funds to your wristband during the festival, you will need to visit one of the cashless staff booths with your new QR code (identified on the event map) to link the funds to your account. Please note we strongly recommend loading enough funds to your wristband via our online portal in advance of the event as we cannot guarantee the cashless staff booth lines will move quickly.
I bought tickets for others. Do they still need their own wristband?
Yes, each attendee needs their own wristband. Send this link to anyone you purchased tickets for and get them to load funds onto their wristband. They can top up online at vegandalechicago.cashlessportal.com

What happens after I pick up my wristband?
If you’ve already loaded your wristband on this portal you will present your QR code at the entrance to link up the wristband to your loaded funds.
If you loaded more funds to your wristband during the festival, you will need to visit one of the cashless staff booths with your new QR code (identified on the event map) to link the funds to your account. How do I purchase items during the event?
Simply tap your wristband at any of the vendor booths, merchandise stands, or bars, and they’ll deduct the amount you owe.
I forgot to load funds on my wristband and the event has started. What should I do?
If the event has started and you haven’t loaded funds onto your wristband, you can visit one of the check-in stations on-site and they can assist you. Additionally, you can continue to add funds online.
We strongly encourage you to load up your wristband in advance so you can skip the lines and dive straight into Vegandale! If you are having trouble loading funds online, you can visit one of the check-in stations and they can assist you.
Can I make purchases through debit or credit card?
No, the only payment method at the event will be through your wristband.
How do I know how much credit I have left on my wristband?
After you make a purchase, ask the vendor or bar for your remaining balance and they can verbally let you know the amount.
How do I cashout my unused funds on my wristband?
- To cash out, go to vegandalechicago.cashlessportal.com, log in or register, enter your 14-digit wristband ID, and your available balance will appear.
- Cash out starts at 9 AM ET on June 26th and ends at 11:59 PM ET on July 10th, with a $3.00 processing fee. Cashout will open at 9AM ET on June 26th and close at 11:59 PM ET on July 10th. Cashouts will be subject to a $3.00 processing fee.
