How We Plan To Make The 2016 Festival Our Best Yet!
We would like to extend a big THANK YOU all those who attended our first annual Vegan Food and Drink festival last year! As a not-for-profit company, we were so proud to have funded this event without any sponsorship support. Our effort to promote and bring awareness to the local Vegan community could not have been done without all of your ongoing support.
This year, we are so thrilled to have the opportunity to host our second Vegan Food and Drink Festival here in Toronto, as well as expanding the festival across the border to Chicago.
You spoke up, and we heard you! Thank you for all of the continued feedback and encouragement we received from the amazing attendees of last year's festival. We are always looking for ways to better improve your experience, and with your help, we've been able to pinpoint the areas we need to improve on to ensure a smooth and successful festival.
Vendor Line Up’s
We apologize to those who may have waited in long vendor lines and to those who may have experienced vendors selling out of products at last year’s festival. In order to rectify this, we are pleased to announce that we have doubled our event space at Fort York, so this year we will be taking over all of Garrison Commons! This means way more vendors, which means more options for you and shorter wait times. We’ll also be working more closely with vendors and having much more strict requirements so food does not run out.
Last year, we also received concerns about the age restriction on the event and as a result, we have chosen to open the festival up to guests of all-ages. Now, parents with children don't have to miss out on the festivities. Attendee's who are 19+ - don't fret! This event, much like last year, is still geared towards an adult crowd. Our primary focus will remain on offering guests the best vegan comfort food, craft brews, wines and spirits!
We received a lot of questions in regards to our festival admission fee. Please note we are a not for profit organization and the festival is self-funded with zero corporate sponsorship. Of course there are still many costs affiliated with hosting these types of events such as venue rental, staging, infrastructure, security, washroom rentals, venue rentals, etc. which is why we charge the admission fee. We’ve priced the admission fee at a fair and reasonable cost for vegans and non-vegans alike to join in the festival and enjoy day of cruelty-free food and entertainment!
We've got some other exciting changes up our sleeves but we aren't going to spoil the surprise just yet! Stay tuned for the release of the 2016 event tickets. We're looking forward to seeing you at an even better 2016 Toronto Vegan Food & Drink Festival.
